The goal

Revelstoke Mountain Resort, in collaboration with Tourism Revelstoke, was seeking to showcase Revelstoke as a bucket list destination and drive awareness of special offers. With 2.3 million of our users participating in Downhill Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Snowboarding or Snowmobiling in the past year, Revelstoke Mountain Resort partnered with Pelmorex to inspire our engaged winter sports audience to plan a trip to Revelstoke.

The solution

Strategic pre-season and early-season digital campaigns were developed to entice Canadians to book a winter trip to Revelstoke.

The campaign successfully:

  • Grabbed user attention with special offers
  • Increased relevance with winter weather-triggered creative, including snow and cold temperatures in the Revelstoke forecast
  • Engaged the target market by leveraging audience segments including Snow Enthusiasts, Ski and Bike Store visitors and Ski Report visitors
  • Highlighted Revelstoke as a premium winter travel destination

The results

The target audience was highly engaged and both campaigns delivered great results across all metrics, including:

  • 3.6+ million total digital ad impressions
  • 10,000+ total digital ad clicks
  • 0.32% overall CTR – above Travel & Tourism benchmark
